Christy Walker joined the Santa Fe Dreamers Project board in June 2017. After a meeting the Executive Director, Allegra Love, combined with the recent political election she decided she to take a more active role in supporting our immigration community. Christy is originally from Northern Illinois and received her BA in Anthropology and Museum Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. After being out of school for 20 years, she decided to return and in 2016 she graduated from University of New Mexico with a Masters in Accounting. She is currently working as a CPA and enjoys volunteering her time with the Santa Fe Dreamers Project.
Matt Baca is a native Santa Fean with an extensive background in business development and marketing, who now practices law. Matt received his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law and is licensed to practice law in the State of New Mexico. After passing the bar, Matt clerked for Chief Justice Barbara Vigil at the New Mexico Supreme Court, and he currently serves as Senior Counsel to New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas. Matt is dedicated to service in his community, serving on multiple non-profit boards and as a big brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. He lives in Santa Fe with his charming toddler son, Jay.
Samia van Hattum, LCSW is a clinical mental health social worker serving young people in Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico. Over the course of her social work career, Samia has worked domestically and internationally with a variety of immigrant and refugee populations, has implemented HIV/STI prevention programs, has served as a Board Member for the Doerr Center for Social Justice, has taught college level Human Services classes, has worked with persons living with serious and persistent mental illnesses, has been an ongoing advocate for reproductive justice, and has spent the majority of her career serving youth populations. Samia grew up in Northern New Mexico. In her non-work life she enjoys disappearing into her ceramics studio.
Morgan Hees moved to New Mexico in 1993 and has been employed for 20 years as a Financial Advisor at Dean Witter and Morgan Stanley, Santa Fe. In January 2015, he joined UBS Financial Services Inc. in as the Senior Vice President-Wealth Management, Senior Portfolio Manager. Morgan has a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker Graduate Management School, Claremont California. He supports business leadership, the Lensic Theater and of course the Santa Fe Dreamers and his interests include education, the arts, all things outdoors.
Cyndie Gullickson is licensed as an attorney in Michigan, and is an advocate for issues in education, the environment, immigration and the arts.
