For the first time in five years, Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and legacy will be honored with a celebration at the Roundhouse on Monday.
The celebration, set for noon to 1 p.m. at the Capitol rotunda, will feature remarks from the Governor’s Office, Mayor Alan Webber and advocates including Little V. West, chair of the state Martin Luther King Jr. commission. The event had been an annual tradition for decades before being put on pause after 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re very excited to be back and at full capacity and health,” said Simesha McEachern, president of the Santa Fe NAACP Branch.
